The day I joined L'Agence X, my manager asked me a simple question that would change everything: could I communicate the way the Zoo's community manager did, and get the same results? I said yes, with confidence and with faith. And that faith produced results. Here are three of them, and the last one is, to me, the most important.

How to define an effective social media strategy for a brand?

By first understanding its context and target audience, before even thinking about content. Every action should serve an underlying objective, not just visibility for its own sake.

The brand, a well-known movie theater in Abidjan, mainly sells its tickets online. But advertising alone wasn't the key lever — the brand, and therefore its films, needed to be seen by as many people as possible, to drive sales as a result.

To earn free visibility from Facebook — in other words, to go viral — the focus had to be on the brand's interactions. Boost interactions, to boost visibility, to then boost sales.

Why study the best community managers before getting started?

Because observing what already works helps you understand an audience before trying to reach it yourself — imitation is only a first step toward your own style.

The Zoo's community manager was getting spectacular results. I went and studied his content, how he wrote and presented it, over the whole period he'd been active on social media. I studied, imitated, applied it — and results followed. Over time, I developed my own style.

What role does faith play in professional success?

For me, a real part of these results comes from God's involvement in my work — a personal conviction I openly share with my audience.

I'm one of those who believe you can't bear lasting fruit in your professional life without relying on Him. God is the pillar. And faith in Him produces works: those are the works I just shared with you in three secrets.
